FAQs
What kinds of seating charts does the course work for?
The course primarily focuses on teaching you to create single surface seating charts, and the techniques work on common signage materials such as acrylic, wood, mirror, foam board, paper, etc. However, the skills covered are versatile and the same principles can be applied to creating seating charts on more unusual surfaces or seating charts that span multiple surfaces, such as a set of jugs or acrylic boxes. Between the bonus lessons and the core lessons, I cover all of the skills that I use to create a variety of seating chart designs as well as other types of signage!
Does this course work for vinyl or printed seating charts?
This course is primarily designed for hand lettered seating charts and I would not recommend it if you are only creating vinyl or printed seating charts. While you’ll find lessons that are valuable for vinyl or printed seating charts, you probably won’t find the math lessons as helpful, and the process of creating the seating chart itself will also be different.
What is the difference between this course, Seating Chart Success, and your Pro Wedding Calligrapher course?
Seating Chart Success (SCS) teaches you how to create seating charts and signage, whereas Pro Wedding Calligrapher (PWC) is a business course focused on helping you build your wedding calligraphy business, and does not cover how to create signage. PWC is a more comprehensive program with 16 core lessons that teach you how to start and grow your business from the very first step, and comes with personalized support through our Facebook community. Do I need any equipment or software to take the course?
The Seating Chart Success course is built on the Thinkific learning platform, which runs in your browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or your mobile phone. No software download is required and the course is accessible on-demand 24/7. To see full system requirements and supported browsers, click here.
All of the tools, templates, and worksheets in the course are PDFs, Google docs, Google sheets, YouTube videos, or Inkscape templates, which are all accessible for free once you are in the course. For the best course experience and to more easily use the tools provided, a laptop or tablet is recommended. The course provides some suggested software tools to help run your business, but these are optional and discount codes are provided where available.
Are there payment plans available?
Currently there are no payment plans for the Seating Chart Success course. The idea is that you should be able to make back your investment and more with one client seating chart, and you could purchase this course after making a booking. Payment plans require more overhead to manage, but I strive to make my programs accessible and welcome feedback at shaochen@monsteragold.com.
What is the refund policy?
Due to the digital nature of the course, the course is non-refundable since you will have immediate access to all content. For this same reason, there are no refunds for future price changes or promos. Please reach out to shaochen@monsteragold.com if you have any concerns!
